Despite how much I like to pretend summer is never going to end, how tightly I hold on to those sun-drenched days and lingering warm sunsets, the evidence is everywhere: My little ones marched in the Elmvale Fall Fair parade last week and rode the midway rides with their “all-you-can-ride” bracelets. Our front porch is regularly strewn with a multitude of rubber boots and mud clumps. We’re bumping up bedtime, baking pumpkin bread, and swapping fall/winter clothing into dressers (albeit, reluctantly). Autumn is fully upon us. The fall colours are absolutely gorgeous and here we are, already at Thanksgiving.
I have so much to be grateful for: my beautiful family, being safe and warm, healthy and happy, so completely surrounded by love.
