This month, I decided I would create beautiful portraits of my littles for November’s 10 on 10. I envisioned close ups of their adorable faces. I pictured perfect profiles and pretty light. Who knows, maybe even a little gem or two for this year’s Christmas card. The day took me in a different direction. It was a wet-cornflakes-stuck-to-the-bottom-of-your-socks morning and a can’t-anyone-flush-the-toilet-around-here afternoon. There was “littles turbulence” rippling my plan. Instead of smiling, glowing faces, I documented tiny hands feeding the guinea pig for twenty happily-occupied minutes. I photographed our fairy Batman all ready for “next-Halloween-tomorrow.” Julia and I went wading (seriously, wading) through an unacceptable amount of laundry. Toss in a phone selfie. Reality? Check.

10 on 10 is a personal photography project where I capture 10 images on (or around) the 10th of each month. With an incredible group of photographers from around the globe, the goal is to share a glimpse of life. Each fresh month is a reminder to pick up the camera and document daily moments with the freedom to create candid imagery. As always, I love to hear from you so feel free to leave me a comment. Thank you for visiting! Enjoy the rest of the circle by continuing on to Brandy Anderson’s 10 on 10 next.
Aw, thank you, Jenny-Henny. xoxo
